Discord server rules

Welcome to the blindsoft discord server.

There are some rules you need to follow.

Basic server rules

  1. No spamming. Do not repeatedly spam. Bot commands can be spammed in command prompt
  2. No hate speech. No racism, sexism, ableism, bigotry, etc.
  3. NSFW is strictly prohibited. We have users under 18. Nsfw will be immediately punished with a permanent ban.
  4. Do not use alternate accounts to bypass your ban. These accounts will be banned on the spot and may get your main account banned, if it isn’t already.
  5. No malicious posting. Malware, spyware, adware, etc will not be tolerated and will result in an immediate permanent ban. Furthermore, no docsing, hacking, scamming, etc.
  6. Use channels for their intended purpose. Do not use, for example, the main chat for roleplaying.
  7. Follow the discord terms of service and community guidelines. If you are under 13, you will be banned until you are 13.

Voice rules

  1. Do not blast loud music, or ear rape content.
  2. Be respectful to all voice participants within the voice call/chat.
  3. Explicit music is allowed, but try to keep it clean if possible. Furthermore, no pedophilic music is allowed to be played, and may result in an immediate ban.

Tip:

Some songs have clean versions or instrumental versions.

Rules for staff

Note:

Server rules apply to staff.

  1. All staff, regardless of role, require multifactor authentication to use moderation tools, such as kick, ban, etc.
  2. Do not attempt to add bots without Adison's consent. In the event adison is not available, you may contact a trusted installer to get permission. Furthermore, unverified bots may be kicked automatically for security reasons. If you have an unverified bot, contact adison Verlice to get permission to add your bot.
  3. Do not attempt to delete logs or modlogs. Doing this will result in an instant removal from staff roles.
  4. Do not use your staff role to help users bypass/violate punishments. This will get you an immediate demotion, no questions asked. Under a mistaken punishment, such as thinking a user was posting nsfw when it was just a cat image, this will be forgiven and you will be put back in power.
  5. All punishments, regardless of who or what, must have a reason behind it. Not having a valid reason may result in a temporary or permanent demotion, depending on what the punishment is.
  6. Do not even attempt to mention everyone without the explicit consent of adison. In the event of a lockdown, this will be an exception for administrators only.
  7. Do not attempt to manage channels, roles, etc, unless explicitly permitted from adison. Wick bot will monitor for normal roles (EG, o…those user guys) and if seen with dangerous permissions (mention @everyone, administrator, etc) then you may be timed out by the bot and, as a result, will be demoted permanently, even if your account was hacked. Note: this also applies to excessive bans, excessive webhook creations, etc.
  8. When a bot deals with users, it probably has a reason to. Do not try to override a bots (EG wicks) actions, unless you *know* there is a false positive. If there is a false positive, contact a trusted installer and they can give the goahead. Note: higher roles, such as trusted installers, are not *obligated* to let you have free rein. If they don’t trust you, they can say no. that means *no*.
  9. Do not attempt to outrank the decisions of a higher role  than you. For example if you’re an administrator, and a trusted installer tells you to knock it off, don’t tell them no. If you do, they will punish you accordingly, depending on the severity.
  10. Be mindful of account hacks. If a hacked staff account attempts to raid this server, they will be permanently demoted, as they have established they cannot be trusted.

Punishments

Excluding the rules that have punishments listed, here are the regular punishments for regular rule breaks.

  1. Warning: a dm will be sent to you containing a warning. If we cannot DM you for whatever reason, we will mention you in the channel where it occurred.
  2. Timeout for a day: you may be timed out for a day.
  3. Temporary ban, these bans can be set by the staff themselves, but often they can be in the range from 3hours to a month (30days).
  4. Permanent ban: no questions asked, you will be permanently banned.
